SCCLS is a compact device consisting of two proven products – self-cleaning screen and

a small press for screenings. Its function is to collect, separate, partly wash and press

screenings.

 

The device is intended especially for small WWTPs with a capacity of up to 1000 PE, for

channels 400, 500, and 600 mm wide and deep as required.

 

The screen filtration belt consists of a strengthened version of the screens, which

substantially increases the service life of the device.

 

The press is suspended directly on the device chute, due to which the housed version

considerably reduces odour release.

 

A “mini” version of the press allows low screens to be used. This integration reduces both

investment and operating costs.

 

The self-cleaning screen with integrated press may be used indoors as well as outdoors. The

outdoor version is equipped with a complete cover with electric heating rugs.

The screen is connected to the press by a square flange enabling three-side installation of the

press. Dewatered screenings may be collected in a dustbin (70, 120 l) or a low container. The water

removed from the screenings is discharged into the channel behind the screen.

SELF-CLEANING SCREENS WITH INTEGRATED PRESS SCCLS

Since the screen frame slope is within 70-90° of horizontal, the screens may be installed in a sewer or a manhole.

 

The filtration slot width of the conveyor belt may be 1, 3, 6, or 10 mm.

 

The sewer depth should be in range between 0.5 and 6 m.

 

The device is supplied in a stainless steel version in combination with plastics, or in the so-called standard version with the screen frame made of galvanized carbon steel. Both versions are protected by paint coating.

The device operation is usually controlled by supplied control panel.

The operation is controlled at intervals and depending upon the water level. The heating in the outdoors version is controlled by a thermostat.

 

To ensure proper functioning of the press, screenings shall be washed with 0.8 l/s of water at average intervals of 5-10 min/hr.
